Willian to Manchester United: Chelsea boss Antonio Conte delivers warning to Brazilian
The Brazilian has been in and out of Antonio Conte’s team this term that has seen him fail to cement a regular spot in the Italian’s starting XI.
Willian has still chipped in with seven goals and two assists in the league to help the Blues be crowned Premier League champions, but he has been linked with a move to Manchester United.
Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the 28-year-old and he is thought to be on his wishlist this summer.
And when asked about Willian’s links to United, Conte refused to go into depth on the topic.
“First of all the player must have pleasure to stay in Chelsea – this is the first important thing,” said Conte, responding to reports of his star players leaving in the summer.
“For me this is very important. Every player that wants to stay has to have the pleasure to stay.”
Willian played under Mourinho during the Portuguese’s time in charge of Chelsea.
And Willian even revealed earlier this year that Mourinho had attempted to make him one his first signings at Old Trafford.
“There was interest, yes. From Manchester United, because Mourinho is there too,” he said.
The winger remains under contract with Chelsea until 2020.
