The bull is stood looking at two men in a cage, one of whom leans out of the cage waving a white cloth in an attempt to get the animal’s attention.

Wearing a red top, the man waves his arms about as the bull stares at him, its tail swishing.

Crowds look on, some on balconies above, and some on the road, protected by a metal gate.

At first, it seems as if the bull is not going to move – but then he decides he has had enough of the man’s taunting, and charges forward.

Unfortunately for the man in red, the cage he is in proves to be no match for the bull, who easily breaks through the metal.

He runs at the man in red, who falls to the ground as the bull stamps on him.

The force of the bull causes the cage to move along the road.

Bystanders quickly run over to stop the cage and help restrain the bull. The man in the red top is pulled out of the cage, and runs off seemingly unharmed.

The video has gone viral online, with over 770,000 views.

Almost no-one had sympathy for the man, with nearly 300 comments siding with the animal.

One commenter wrote: “I always root for the bull”.

Another said: “Lol, that’ll learn him!!”

And one person said: “Why is baiting of animals for sport still happening? When’s it going to stop?”

This is not the only time animals have fought back against cruelty – as one man learnt when he tried to kick a stray dog.

A man enjoying a fun evening on the beach with friends spotted a stray dog in the distance and decided to liven up the night’s events by tormenting the pooch. But the dog quickly got his revenge, and the incident was caught on camera.
