Jack McEvoy, who plays Helgi the Lean, and Elijah Rowen, who plays Asbjorn, from Vikings have been speaking about the hit History Channel series and revealed they know nothing about the ending, but did tease fans could look forward to “interesting turns”.
They were speaking at the launch for Empress Mimi Lingerie’s new Spring campaign and spoke about the show’s exciting season six.
The Asbjorn star revealed to the Metro: “I’m very happy to not have a clue and not attempt to predict. I know there will be a lot of funky things that we never would have guessed as good writing always entails.”
In a show full of twists and turns, fans can be excited at the prospect of being surprised even into the sixth series of the show.
Helgi star Jack added: “To be honest, I really, really do not know [how Vikings ends]. I don’t have any idea. We’ve seen the show take so many curve balls and interesting turns that you just don’t know what they’re going to come up with next.”
One of the potential curve balls could be the Seer successor.
Vikings fans have been viewing the ongoing war for the throne of Kattegat for some seasons now.
And although the fight is slowly coming to an end in the upcoming sixth season of the show, fans have become enthralled in wanting to learn about Floki’s (played by Gustaf Skarsgård) future.
Floki has been a prominent member of the cast since the first episodes of the series, but he may be involved in a huge plot twist in the upcoming final episodes.
Fans of the show recently discussed the Seer on Reddit, and who could take over the role after his death at the hands of Ivar the Boneless (Alexander Hogh Andersen) last season.
They believe that person could be Floki in what would be shocking scenes.
Another twist could be the return of Ragnar Lothbrok in what would be dramatic scenes.
In a recent Instagram post from Bjorn actor Alexander Ludwig, Ragnar actor Travis Fimmel is seen with the Bjorn actor.
He was dramatically killed in season four after being captured and tortured.
As Bjorn heads toward the end of his journey, could viewers see a cameo from Ragnar in the form of a vision or flashback?
Would he take the side of one of his sons, or simply offer some advice?
Jack and Elijah also teased a potential crossover between Vikings and Game of Thrones with scenes that would enthral fans.
Jack suggested at the event: “Why don’t we have Jon Snow try and rule the kingdom and have this cross platform worlds where these two great shows collide and all the vikings – good, bad or indifferent – must stand together against the villainous Game of Thrones?
“They did it with Batman versus Superman and I’d like to see Asbjorn in the thick of it, shirtless.”
Fans will have to wait to find out how these “interesting turns” play out in the final season of the show and if the ending gives them the drama they crave.
