But last night’s brand new episode was focused around Raj Koothrappali (played by Kunal Nayyar) attempting to prove the existence of aliens.
Although his friends simply wouldn’t hear it, he was eventually joined by his former beau, Anu (Rati Gupta).
Although it looked like the final scenes for the duo, that wasn’t everything from the couple.
After the episode Rati posted on Instagram to reveal there had been extra scenes cut from the episode.
She wrote: “#fbf to me getting my #tbbt pre-taping laugh on with my cousin in my dressing room.
“Hope you all found last night’s galactic episode as satisfying as we did!”
She went on: “(btw… there was a [second] super cute Raj/Anu scene that involved dinner, support, and an alien friend named Zip Zap that didn’t make the final cut.
“But we’ll just let that be our lil secret ok?) #BigBangTheory #finalseason #behindthescenes.”(sic)
However, it seems the pair eventually found closure in their relationship, and fans may not see Anu again in the final episodes.
It is not yet known if Anu will return to the show in the last episodes, but it will surely be an emotional venture nonetheless.
Penny actor Kaley Cuoco recently posted a snap of the final episodes on Instagram.
The image showed the actor in tears after the final table read for the show, and another of the last script on its final page.
She captioned the first image: “Post table read for @bigbangtheory_cbs finale episode.”
While the second was accompanied with the comment: “Prepare yourselves… for a finale that has truly given me a loss for words. Our whole universe… @bigbangtheory_cbs.”
Fans of the show are utterly broken up by loss of the hit CBS show, and were quite vocal about it in Kaley’s posts.
One wrote: “This picture is a mirror, can’t stop crying. TBBT is my fav show ever.”
While another asked: “Really curious on who dies.”
Hopefully no one will die in the final episodes.
The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays on CBS and in the UK on E4.
