Super Smash Bros Ultimate Nintendo Switch NEWS: Mario Time event out now for fans

Super Smash Bros Ultimate’s latest event has kicked off on .

Titled ‘Oh Yeah! Mario Time!’, the latest Super Smash Bros Ultimate event lasts for the next five days.

Players can earn more gold by defeating characters from the Super Mario series.

“A huge collection of characters from the world of Mario are coming to your Spirit Board!” reads a Nintendo post. “Defeat them in battle to earn more gold than usual!”

Players will also be able to unlock unique companions from the Spirit Board, but only for a limited time and not outside of the event.

This includes Golden Dash Mushroom, River Survival and Dice Block.

In a follow-up post on Twitter, Nintendo announced the times these Spirits will appear.

“The 5-day Super #SmashBrosUltimate spirits event, “Oh Yeah! Mario Time!”, is now on!” reads a Nintendo tweet.

“Check the Spirit Board at these times (UK) each day of the event to meet these #SuperMario spirits!”

Players can attempt to unlock the Dice Block at 2pm and 2am UK time for the next five days.

The Golden Dash Mushroom will appear at 6am and 6pm UK time, while River Survival shows up at 10am and 10pm UK time.

The news comes just a few days after Super Smash Bros Ultimate received a new update on Nintendo Switch.

According to the full patch notes, update 1.2.0 makes big changes to online and offline gameplay for Super Smash Bros Ultimate.

This includes a much-needed fix for matchmaking issues caused by specific rule searches.

Preferred rules will now be prioritised during Super Smash Bros Ultimate matchmaking.

Nintendo has also altered the difficulty of approaching challengers when playing Smash Bros offline.

The only downside about the new update is that the Nintendo Switch update will wipe your old replays.
