When will Katherine Heigl be appearing in Suits?
The USA Network, which is behind Suits, announced earlier this year that Knocked Up and Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl, 39, would be joining the cast and replacing Meghan Markle.
She was confirmed as a new member of the legal team called Samantha Wheeler.
Speaking about signing up to the long-running programme, Heigl said: “Joining Suits was the perfect, organic way to not only collaborate with an EP I admire deeply, but to also become part of a show and cast that I am an immense fan of.”
She added to Variety: “I have watched Suits from the very beginning.
“And feel incredibly lucky to be the newest member of the Pearson Specter Litt family.”
It seems highly unlikely that Heigl will appear in Suits season seven as it appears that filming has wrapped up on the run.
The earliest that she would appear in Suits would probably be in season eight, which would most likely see the introduction of her character.
While there’s no confirmed release date for season eight, it could be as soon as summer this year.
Judging by previous Suits season premiere dates, the eighth run could be hitting screens in either June or July 2018.
Just like its predecessors, season eight will probably consist of 16 episodes.
So Suits fans could be seeing Samantha on screens as early as this year in the opening of season eight.
Joining Heigl will be The West Wing and Psych actor Dulé Hill as Alex Williams, who is an attorney.
He knows Harvey Specter (played by Gabriel Macht) and is a partner at law firm Bratton Gould before he’s hired by his old friend.
Hill, 42, has a recurring role in Suits season seven but will be promoted to a cast regular in the forthcoming run.
Suits will reunite Hill and Heigl, who previously starred together in another courtroom drama called Doubt.
When will Suits season 7, episode 11 be released on Netflix?
The second half of season seven will air in America on The USA Network on March 28, before dropping on the streaming platform for those outside of the region.
Netflix has confirmed that Suits season seven will be returning on March 29 for fans in the UK to watch.
Season seven of Suits will mark the last one for Meghan Markle and Patrick J. Adams, who play couple Rachel Zane and Mike Ross respectively.
Suits season 7, Part B airs on Netflix on March 29.
