Strictly Come Dancing 2019 is beginning to get extremely tense. Many of the show’s contestants must fight for their spot on the competition each week, as the dwindling number of performers has racked up the difficulty of the show. This weekend saw Mike Bushell unfortunately in the bottom two once again but he survived for the third week in a row.

Despite the odds being dead-set against Mike, his dance off against Viscountess Emma Weymouth went well for him and partner Katya Jones.
After performing the Charleston once again, Mike successfully made it through to the next edition of the show with a unanimous agreement from the judges.
Fans of the show were a little stunned by this with many claiming it was a “fix”.
Appearing on BBC Breakfast this morning, Mike spoke to presenters Dan Walker and Louise Minchin on why he thinks he made it through.
Mike went on to say despite the performances and each performer’s time on the show, it all comes down to the judges.
He said: “It’s out of our hands. All you can do – and I think they did a brilliant dance off with the Samba, always a difficult dance.
“It’s out of our hands, and it is up to the judges, and who they think did the best dance off.
“We can’t do any more than do our best and hold your head up high.”
On the exit of Emma and Aljaz, Mike did sound a little remorseful.
However he remarked: “Hopefully they’ll still be around because no one really goes. We’re all part of the Strictly family.”
Meanwhile, viewers were left a little stunned over the weekend as they saw a brand new face arrive on screen.
As Neil Jones had bowed out of the show for the second week running, he had to be replaced in the ongoing dance numbers.
