Strictly Come Dancing 2018 is back with a bang, returning to TV screens this Saturday for the sixteenth series.
Among the fourteen-strong line-up of celebrities is British comedian and television personality Seann Walsh.
Seann was the eighth celebrity to be announced as a contestant, joining the ranks of Katie Piper, Ashley Roberts and Kate Silverton.
Being in the limelight for 12 years, how much is the comedian and funnyman worth?
Seann’s net worth is reported by The Mirror to be around £350,000.
Born in London’s Lewisham, Seann left school with only one GCSE, deciding to turn his attention to the theatre instead of academics.
His career truly began when he performed his first comedy gig in 2006, aged 21.
His show was a success, and by 2009 Seann had won himself several comedy awards, including the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year (2009 and Chortle Best Newcomer (2009).
Things only got better for the 32-year-old, with Seann going on to be the resident host at Komedia’s Comic Boom in Brighton.
In 2012, the comedian performed his first show at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, consequentially touring the country with it.
His net worth has accumulated through his appearances on shows such as 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock the Week, Celebrity Juice and Family Guy.
This year he joined the sixteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing, with his earning potential no doubt set to skyrocket.
Along with appearing on Strictly, Seann is also touring the UK throughout September, October, November and December.
Talking about his appearance on the show, Seann revealed he was “shocked as everyone else” at being chosen to appear on Strictly.
He said: “Having seen videos of me dancing on friends’ phones from the night before, it’s safe to say I’m petrified. I’m really looking forward to the Lycra and the lifts.”
Joining Seann on the show is BBC journalist and newsreader Kate Silverton, who was announced as the eleventh constant last month.
Kate is one of the most recognisable faces on UK television, having presented BBC One’s News at One, News at Six, News at Ten and BBC Weekend news.
With a successful and lucrative career spanning 26 years, how much is Kate Silverton worth?
Kate Silverton began her career at the BBC, working on Look North news before becoming a reporter and presenter at Tyne Tees Television.
Since then Kate had had a long and successful career working in the BBC, on shows such as BBC News at One, Big Cat Diary and presenting the New Year Live coverage in 2008.
