Strictly Come Dancing 2017: Blackpool songs revealed – but what’s Debbie McGee dancing to?

The 59-year-old former magician’s assistant has consistently shot to the top of the leaderboard on this year’s series alongside professional dance partner Giovanni Pernice, 27.

Last week the pair tore up the studio with a Salsa, as Italian pro Giovanni swung his celebrity around in lifts that had viewers in awe at the impressive techniques.

This week, Debbie McGee will be twirling around the famous Blackpool ballroom to a samba-styled Spice Girls medley, which will include hit songs Wannabe and Who Do You Think You Are?

Meanwhile, Holby City dark horse Joe McFadden and Katya Jones will perform a sizzling salsa to another 90s hit track, this time Black Box’s Ride on Time.

Joining them with another belter, Johnnie Peacock and partner Oti Mabuse will dance the dreaded Tango to Sweet Dreams by the Eurythmics.

Taking it back a few decades is Emmerdale actress Gemma Atkinson and Aljaz Skorjanec, who will be performing an American Smooth to Downtown by Petula Clark.

Another fan-favourite proving her dance floor prowess once more is Alexandra Burke and her partner Gorka Marquez, who will be dancing a Quickstep to The Gold Diggers’ Song from musical 42nd Street.

There will be two Paso Dobles in this week’s show, with the first being comedian Susan Calman and Kevin Clifton to Scott and Fran’s Paso Doble from Strictly Ballroom.

The second will see EastEnders’ Davood Ghadami and Nadiya Bychkova giving the complicated dance a spin to 80s pop hit Live and Let Die by Wings.

Completing the evening is The Saturdays’ singer Mollie King and her partner AJ Pritchard, who hope to move out of the danger zone on the leaderboard with an energetic Charleston set to Little Mix’s Wings.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
