Episode VIII has been filming in Dubrovnik, Croatia, in scenes that are believed to be Han Solo’s funeral, following his death in The Force Awakens.
Now Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh has provided more details, pictures and footage in a new video.
It’s clear from the solemn scenes and smart black dress that characters are either paying respect to Harrison Ford’s iconic character or those who died at the hands of the Starkiller base in the last film – or both.
However, it looks like the procession will be disturbed after shots were captured of a shoot-out and chase scene.
Zeroh revealed: “There’s a speeder chase sequence [and} we see Imperial type…guards [who] are new characters.
“It seems to me this scene may possibly be a funeral shoot-out scene where everything is going good and great, they’re paying their respect…and then out of nowhere all hell breaks lose.
Zeroh added: “The fact that Finn is here too, tells me that much of the resistance is here as well.
“I think they are paying their respects to beloved character Han Solo and all of those who have been lost on the planets destroyed.”
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will be released December 15, 2017.
