Spider-Man has had his fair share of remakes, live action and otherwise. From Toby Maguire to Andrew Garfield, many actors have donned the red suit to save New York City from evil. The latest incarnation of Peter Parker comes in the form of Tom Holland, an undeniable favourite amongst the remakes. He made his first appearance as Parker in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War before starring in his solo movie Spider-Man: Homecoming.
When is Spider-Man Far From Home trailer out online?
The date for the trailer was leaked by Hollywood insider Daniel RPK, who has a track record of accuracy with Marvel dates.
According to RPK, who posted on Super Bro Movies, he revealed the trailer will arrive on Tuesday, January 15, 2019.
He went on to say the originally the teaser was set to debut online at the same time as the Comic-Con screening, but Sony decided to hold it back.
Though the trailer itself hasn’t been shared online, those in attendance at Comic-Con were able to tweet their reactions.
Collider wrote: “So Sony Pictures just world premiered the Spider-Man Far From Home trailer (which looks f***ing awesome) and then Jake Gyllenhaal came out and surprised the CCXP 2018 crowd.
“The crowd was so loud during the trailer I could barely hear some of the dialogue!”
CinePop added: “Spider-Man is famous and going to Europe with friends on a tour, and prefers to leave the uniform in New York.
“Arriving in Venice he is approached by Nick Fury and recruited for a mission to defeat a giant villain made of Stone and Water.”
They added: “Mysterio appears and saves the day, pretending to be a hero. Peter and his friends are in danger. And Aunt May and Happy Hogan are having an affair.
“Spectacular action scenes Peter and Michelle having a romance, Ned making us laugh.”
Spider-Man: Far From Home comes packed with an A-list cast, including some new faces to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
New to the sequel is Numan Acar, who has been cast as a character named Dimitri.
Though the studio has been quiet about who Dimitri is, many believe it is Dimitri Smerdyakov, aka Chameleon, a supervillain depicted in early Spider-Man comics.
Returning to their roles are Jacob Batalon, Tony Revolori, Angourie Rice, and Hemky Madera as Parker’s best friend Ned, his rival Eugene “Flash” Thompson, his classmate Betty Brant, and Mr Delmar, the owner of a local bodega, respectively.
From the main cast of Spider-Man: Homecoming Zendaya, Michael Keaton, Jon Favreau, Zendaya, and Marisa Tomei are all reprising their roles.
The surprise addition to the cast came in the form of Jake Gyllenhaal, who takes up the mantle of villain Mysterio.
Scant details have yet to be released about the Spider-Man sequel, though this is far from atypical when it comes to Marvel movies.
Fans will be most curious as to how Spider-Man returns to life in the aftermath of Avengers: Infinity War.
Spider-Man was one of the characters to be snapped out of existence by Thanos.
Spider-Man Far From Home is out in cinemas July 5, 2019.
