The iconic girlband are widely expected to announce a series of concerts at some point today, Monday November 5.
Speaking on Heart Radio’s Breakfast Show, which she co-hosts with Jamie Theakston, Bunton let listeners know exactly when to expect the big reveal.
“It’s so exciting,” she beamed, careful not to give too much away.
Confirming that big things lie ahead, she said: “Everything will be announced just after 3:00 today on social media. You can go to @spicegirls.
“Don’t look at me anymore because I might just blurt it out!”
When Theakston pushed for more details, she insisted: “After 3:00 today you will find out everything.
“But I’m just so excited, I want it out there. It will be brilliant.”
A source had told The Sun: “Girl power is back.”
“This is the biggest music comeback of the decade and tickets are expected to sell like hot cakes when they go on sale at the weekend.”
Victoria Beckham is not expected to be involved in the new tour: she has been clear for several years that her performing days are over.
The group was last together on stage in 2012 for the Olympics closing ceremony, although they haven’t toured since 2008.
The Spice Girls are one of the most iconic music acts of all time – with hits such as Wannabe, Say You’ll Be There, 2 Become 1, Spice Up Your Life and Viva Forever.
They scored three consecutive Christmas Number Ones, and even made a foray into movie-making with their hit comedy Spice World.
Mel B has been the most vocal about these new plans, and last week she appeared to plead with Beckham to join the tour – via a Halloween costume.
Each of the five members has had some success as a solo artist, with Melanie C still recording, releasing and performing her own material today.
Bunton is also very busy: she’s been unveiled as host of the US version of the Bake Off.
Tune into Heart London Breakfast with Jamie and Emma, weekdays from 6am – 9am.
