Property news: Two-level terrace on sale for £130,000 – but there’s a BIG catch inside

A property for sale in Newcastle is drawing attention for one specific reason, and it lies behind closed doors.

The two-level terrace in Arthur’s Hill is on the market for £129,995.

Red brick exteriors complement a striking white door on a quiet street in the West End.

But one step inside reveals a renovator’s dream.

The property has been used as a dental practice, complete with dental chair and waiting room.

Estate agent Walton Robinson thinks it would be perfect for a gutsy DIY project, subject to council planning permission of course.

Or you might like to keep it as is, though a trip to the dentist is rarely enjoyed so living there might be inconceivable.

If you’ve got imagination on your side, the property’s a steal. Just a short walk from local supermarket Iceland, the area also has great bus links to the city centre.

A three-bedroom house in Manchester holds another secret behind its doors

The property has gone on sale for £180,000 and from the outside it resembles any other home on the terraced street.

But inside certainly bucks the trend – each room has been designed with a bold colour palette and generous use of animal prints.

The living room features a vibrant red carpet, with a zebra print sofa and other cherry red sofas dotted about.

Two large glass chandeliers hang from the ceiling. The kitchen looks more like a club than a room for cooking in thanks to the black glitter ceiling and black tiled floors reflecting the blue LED lights around the room.

The walls are decked out with a black and white diamond tile, and the blind is a black and white stripe pattern.

The monochrome design continues in the reception room off the kitchen, with the same blinds and more zebra print seating.

Explaining why the home is so elaborately decked out, the estate agent wrote: “This property is a refraction of years of creativity and dedication to excellence. Could this be the best looking home in M40?”
