Prince Harry, 33, and Meghan Markle, 36, have been dating for over a year now, and engagement rumours have been rife since the couple made their first official public appearance at the Invictus Games in Toronto.
But unbeknownst to the public, the young prince has already got down on one knee, according to an insider.
The pair reportedly want to delay revealing the news to the world so they can share and celebrate their happiness with friends and family first.
When asked on the engagement rumours, a source told US Weekly magazine that Harry has already got down on one knee but the couple are keeping the news to themselves.
They said: “Harry always planned to share the news only with fail at first so he could enjoy it before word spread.
“But they will make an official announcement soon.”
It is believed a statement will be made after American actress Meghan has finished filming the seventh and final season of hit US TV show Suits in November.
The insider added: “It’d be a security nightmare to do it sooner.
And it is thought the recent appearance of Meghan Markle in London could suggest a similar fate.
The cars are part of a deal between the royal family and Audi’s parent company Volkswagen, which gives members a 60 per cent lease discount.
And it is believed Prince Harry is personally paying for Meghan’s car use, although she will receive taxpayer funded security officers and drivers is she becomes engaged to the Prince.
