Having enjoyed the Pokemon Go Community Day bonuses and caught a bunch of Shiny Squirtles, fans are now looking to the future.
Each month in 2018 will feature a Community Day, which will focus on one single Pokemon.
So far fans have seen a switch between starters and other Pokemon for each event, something which isn’t expected to change too much.
And while we don’t know which Pokemon will be chosen for the Community Day in August, we shouldn’t be waiting long to find out.
Developers Niantic has gotten into a routine of releasing new information about an upcoming Community event just days after the earlier one has finished.
The information that’s shared is usually limited but gives fans a good idea of what will be on offer next.
This includes finding out which Pokemon will be the focus of the new community day, which could be announced by Wednesday, July 11.
This doesn’t usually extend to finding out what the special move will be, which is something confirmed closer to launch day.
However, recent months have seen the special moves leaked through other means, meaning we might find out early anyway.
We will also probably have to wait on what bonuses and rewards will be included with the next Community Day in August.
But fans can be guaranteed that whatever Pokemon is the focus, there will also be the chance of catching a shiny variant of it too.
July had a special inclusion, with players able to unlock Squirtles that were wearing sunglasses.
This was done by completing a unique quest during the three-hour event.
It’s unclear if Niantic will continue to drop things like this into future events, or if the summer-ready Squirtles were just a special exception.
With the Pokemon Go Fest kicking off next weekend in Chicago, fans are also wondering if there will be another Articuno Day-style reward on offer.
Players successfully unlocked the special legendary bonus as part of the Safari Zone day in Dortmund.
So there’s a chance that Niantic has something even bigger up their sleeve.
Pokemon Go recently celebrated its birthday, and to mark it Niantic launched the second-anniversary event starring Pikachu.
Like with the Santa Hat Pikachu and surfing Pikachu, there will be a limited-time pocket monsters appearance that won’t be around forever in Pokemon Go.
This time around it’s the ‘summer style’ Pikachu which looks adorable in a straw hat and cool pair of sunglasses.
During the Pokemon Go Pikachu event, Pichu and Pikachu will spawn more frequently.
And each will be sporting the new ‘birthday’ form so these pocket monsters will be wearing a summer hat and shades.
There is also a rare Shiny version for Pokemon Go trainers to catch.
The Pokemon Go Pikachu event is started July 6 and will run until July 31.
It will start at 9pm BST, which is 4pm eastern time and 1pm pacific time.
The event will also end at the same times on July 31.
