Blizzard now have a set format for releasing their seasonal events.
The next will be the Overwatch Halloween Terror, which starts on October 10 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Fans are now waiting for the new Overwatch Halloween Terror Trailer, which could arrive the day before release.
We’ve already had a short teaser released, along with a few other things that always seem to pop up too.
New Overwatch Halloween skins have been leaked ahead of the official release date, and this year’s spooky launch looks to have some cracking designs.
New costumes for Mei, Symmetra, Reaper and Zenyatta have arrived from Facebook, showcasing some tasty new loot to grind for.
The cosmetics looked to have leaked from a sponsored advertisement, which isn’t something that Blizzard were banking on.
The Overwatch skins have not been confirmed by Blizzard, but pictures of them went viral after they were quickly captured and posted on the game’s Reddit page.
OVERWATCH HALLOWEEN SKINS LEAK BELOW:
According to the latest reports, 50 new items will be available during the Halloween Terror 2017 event, which is a little different from past events.
Most of the time fans will see at least 100 new cosmetics added to the game, although this might have something to do with additional items from last year’s event making a return.
Blizzard did the same thing with the Overwatch Summer Games 2017, bringing back old skins but having them listed at a reduced price.
Mei’s skin for the Overwatch Halloween 2017 event shows her sporting vampire fangs and is apparently a reference to Jiangshi, the Chinese “hopping” vampire which features in China’s folklore and legends.
While Zenyatta’s skin appears to reference Cthulhu – the nightmarish, tentacle creature created by horror visionary H.P Lovecraft.
World of Warcraft, another Blizzard game, has numerous references to Cthulhu and Mythos – the universe the monster inhabits.
Reaper meanwhile has an edgy, spooky Overwatch Halloween skin that has a skull helmet.
And Symmetra’s latest Overwatch skin has a dragon-woman theme to it.

This week also saw a new Overwatch PTR patch released, putting a new version of the game into testing.
PC players who have signed up to the test servers now have access to the build and it doesn’t look so good for Mercy mains.
Having made major changes to the healer earlier this year, further changes are being looked at that would nerf the character’s effectiveness.
Valkyrie no longer resets or lowers Resurrection’s cooldown on the game’s PTR, instead it now doubles Resurrection’s range.
While the specifcs haven’t been shared by Blizzard, players on Reddit are reporting that cooldown stays at 30 seconds when Valkyrie is active.
This latest patch could arrive in time for the Halloween update, although it seems more likely that Blizzard would launch later in October.
