One Show presenter Alex Jones’s net worth will astound you after Matt Baker pay scandal

Alex Jones has presented The One Show since 2010 with her co-host Matt Baker, 40, who previously presented Blue Peter.

Jones, who is also 40, first worked as a television researcher but was eventually asked to audition for a role on the small screen.

She presented numerous shows for Welsh channel S4C – presenting many Welsh language shows including children’s TV programmes.

It wasn’t until she replaced Christine Bleakley on The One Show that Jones became synonymous with daytime TV.

She has also presented the UK’s points in the Eurovision Song Contest and presented Let’s Dance for Comic Relief in 2011.

What is Alex Jones’ net worth?

Jones’ net worth is not listed online, however, it could be assumed to be a large whack since the presenter enjoys a good salary from the BBC.

It was revealed in July 2017 that Jones earns between £400,000 to £449,000.

However, the presenter was shocked to learn that her co-star earned between £450,000 and £499,000.

Alex Jones said of the news: “Matt and I never discussed wages, but I assumed we got paid the same.

“I was quite shocked, I guess everybody else was,” she told the Mirror.

The One Show is a hugely popular TV broadcast, and the programme usually features famous guests.
