Sundar Pichai said in a tweet that when logging into the website, the browser of Google Chrome will warn the users if the username and password are tampered with. He also assured that if users visit a dangerous website, the browser will also give real-time alerts.

Pichai said, “We are also increasing real-time phishing protection on the desktop to alert you to dangerous websites.” He further wrote that phishing is a type of social engineering attack, often used to steal users’ data, including login credentials and credit card numbers.

Google has enhanced this new edition for ‘better password security in Chrome’. This technology was first introduced by Google as a password checkup extension. In October, it was made a part of the password checkup in Google account, where you can scan your saved password anytime. And now it has been developed to alert you while browsing the web in Chrome.
