Google has released a new password protection feature for its browser Chrome. Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai gave this information through a tweet. He told that this feature will alert the user on password tampering while logging in.

Sundar Pichai said in a tweet that when logging into the website, the browser of Google Chrome will warn the users if the username and password are tampered with. He also assured that if users visit a dangerous website, the browser will also give real-time alerts.
Pichai said, “We are also increasing real-time phishing protection on the desktop to alert you to dangerous websites.” He further wrote that phishing is a type of social engineering attack, often used to steal users’ data, including login credentials and credit card numbers.
