Paul (played by Stefan Dennis) has recently reunited with Jane Harris (Annie Jones) as the character made a return to Neighbours earlier this year.
As the only original character remaining on the Channel 5 soap, Paul will also get another shock when his father Jim Robinson (Alan Dale) makes a return from the dead over the coming weeks.
However, it seems the iconic character could get another huge surprise when Mike Young (Guy Pearce) makes a comeback to Erinsborough.
Appearing on ITV’s Loose Women earlier today, Paul actor Stefan Dennis teased Guy Pearce’s return when questioned by the panel.
Guy played Mike from 1986-1989, appearing in 496 episodes of the Australian soap and having a relationship with Jane, whom Paul is now romantically involved with.
Mike was also friends with Paul’s brother Scott Robinson (Jason Donavan) and Charlene Mitchell (Kylie Minogue).
Could Paul come to blows with Mike if he were to return in a fight for Jane?
Appearing on Loose Women alongside Jane actress Annie Jones, Stefan told the panel, “Never say never,” when asked if Guy would be making a reappearance.
Away from the screen, Stefan revealed he had been trying to meet up with Guy during his visit to London as the actor is based in Britain.
During the chat with the panel, Annie spoke about her return to the Channel 5 soap after taking a 29-year break from the show.
“It’s like walking hm,” the actress admitted before revealing the real reason she had not returned before this year.
“Well the possibility has always been there but I’ve been looking after my mother who had Alzheimers for many years.
“I was craving something long-term,” she told the panel when asked what gave her the push to talk on her iconic character.
“It’s crazy because back in the day we were the young [ones] and now were the oldies,” the actress joked.
Jane also admitted she had originally auditioned for the role of Charlene, but didn’t get the part: “I guess I just wasn’t right for Charlene.”
As the drama steps up over the festive period, it seems one Ramsay Street resident could be bidding farewell to the soap.
Posting a video on Instagram, Dipi Rebechhi actress Sharon Johal seemed to be with her fellow cast-members at a farewell party.
With Sonya Rebecchi’s (Eve Morey) life in danger from the sinister Alice Wells (Kerry Armstrong) could Eve be bowing out after nine years on the soap?
Viewers don’t seem to be happy with the media reports as one fan wrote on Twitter: “After all Toadie and her have been through up till now Sonya can’t die. Nell and Callum would be heartbroken as well.”
Another added: “If they kill Sonya off I will take to the streets. An outrage #neighbours.”
