The former actress said her I dos in a stunning custom-made Claire Waight Keller for Givenchy gown.
The dress is now one of the most iconic wedding dresses of all time, even going on display at Windsor Castle.
In a new documentary, Queen of the World, Meghan came face-to-face with her wedding dress, four months after tying the knot.
Marvelling at the delicate lace veil she gasped, “53 countries, oh my goodness.”
A huge smile then appears on her face, as she runs her fingers over her wedding garment.
Admiring the beautiful veil she then joked: “That will keep us busy.”
Meghan is seen gingerly touching the costly garment, with the dress and veil combined coming in at around £387,000.
The Duchess’ veil is 16 and a half foot long, and also designed by Claire Waight Keller.
The designer created a veil ”representing the distinctive flora of each Commonwealth country united in one spectacular floral composition.”
The palace revealed that significant time was spent researching the individual flora, with Keller herself overseeing the work to make sure every flower was authentic and unique.
The iconic veil is made was silk tulle with the flowers being embroidered in silk and organza.
Meghan’s encounter with her wedding gown forms part of a new documentary celebrating the life of her grandmother-in-law, the Queen.
Set to broadcast on ITV, the documentary follows the life of the Queen today and explores the work of the new younger generation of royals, including the Duchess of Sussex.
While it features a lot of Meghan, Harry and William, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, doesn’t really appear.
This was for no other reason other than she was on maternity leave when most of the filming took place.
After giving birth to Prince Louis, Kate has been taking time off from many public events, including the filming of Queen of the World.
Just four months after their marriage and already baby rumours for Meghan and Harry are starting to circulate.
Speaking on Loose Women earlier this week, Physic Sally Morgan revealed she thinks Meghan will share some pregnancy news before 2018 is over.
Asked about what to expect from the Royal Family over the next 12 months, Sally said: “I think that Meghan before the end of the year that it will be announced that she is expecting a baby.”
