It’s been over a week since the big announcement but already details of the couple’s big day have been revealed by royal sources.
We know the couple’s wedding venue, what their cake might be made of and possible wedding dress designers.
Who will play at the wedding is yet to be revealed, but one chart-topping musician has gladly said he’ll perform.
Global superstar Ed Sheeran has put his name forward for the honour.
The ‘Perfect’ singer said has said he would be happy to play the first song at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding reception.
After receiving an MBA from the Queen for his glittering music career and charity work, the singer-songwriter said he is yet to have been asked by the prince and his fiancée to perform at the special one-off gig when they Harry and Meghan marry next May.
But when asked if he would like to do it, he said with a smile on his face, “yeah, why not”.
Ed’s MBE was awarded by the Prince of Wales during a Buckingham Palace investiture ceremony.
While it’s yet to be revealed who will play at Harry and Meghan’s wedding, but if the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding is anything to go by, a world-renowned artist is sure to play.
Prince William, 35, and Kate Middleton, 35, had Ellie Goulding play at their Buckingham Palace wedding reception.
Previous to her special performance, Ellie had appeared at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in front of Prince William.
If Meghan has a say in what music is played, Crystal Fighters, Maggie Rogers and Janelle Monae could be contenders.
Earlier this year, Meghan shared a post to her lifestyle blog, The Tig – which she has now shut down – about the music she’s currently listening to. All three artists made the playlist.
She wrote: “Turn these tracks on as you’re getting ready in the morning, when you need a mid-afternoon pick-me-up, or during your next evening celebration.
“Because when the air is filled with positive vibes, there’s no winter cold that can block out the warmth of happy hearts.”
