Jeremy Kyle lets slip sex of pregnant mum’s baby – and she didn’t want to know

The presenter let slip that the pregnant guest was expecting a boy as he displayed an ultrasound of her unborn baby on the show.

The expectant mum, Becky, was appearing on The Jeremy Kyle Show today to face accusations that she had slept with her friend’s boyfriend Nathan.

Nathan’s new girlfriend, Charlie, insisted that Becky had slept with her partner and she was lying about her pregnancy.

Becky explained that she had never had sex with Nathan and he was not the father of her baby however, she admitted they had shared a bedroom in the past.

Jeremy read out a statement from Charlie about Becky, which said: “She’s always lying, she sent a scan picture to me with a different name on it.

“It’s disgusting. Some people can’t even have kids, she needs to wise up.”

Becky’s friend Chelsea then held up a black-and-white ultrasound scan picture, which showed her name and date of birth at the top.

But Charlie insisted: “That could be off the internet though, like people do.”

Jeremy was forced to step in and take control of the situation as he confirmed that Becky was indeed pregnant.

However, he went on to reveal a little bit too much information as he announced the sex of the unborn child.

“Not only is she pregnant but I’m going to tell you something else as well,” he exclaimed.

Pointing to the scan he asked Becky: “Guess what? What do you think you’re having?”

Becky guessed that she might be having a boy, to which Jeremy replied: “You are having a boy!”

The expectant mum burst into tears and had to be comforted by her friend Chelsea as she processed the news she had just been given.

Those tuning into The Jeremy Kyle Show were far from impressed with the presenter’s announcement and took to Twitter to express their shock.

“What if she didn’t want to know the sex of the baby?” one fan tweeted, while another added: “What if she didn’t want to know the gender of her baby and Jezza just ruined the surprise, idiot!”

The Jeremy Kyle Show airs weekdays on ITV at 9.25am.
