Former The Apprentice star and businesswoman Luisa Zissman appeared on This Morning today to talk about her recent decision to post a video of an EasyJet cabin crew employee asking a mother to “control” her child after he was standing up on one of the plane seats, warning the woman she would receive a fine for “cleaning” if she didn’t comply.

Luisa told former Big Brother presenter Davina and her co-host, The Saturdays’ singer Rochelle Humes, she deemed the air hostess’ behaviour to be “overly aggressive” and explained that was her reason for filming the scenes.
Yet when Luisa debated the issue with fellow guest Liz Brewer, the pair’s different views sparked an awkward atmosphere.
Forced to end the chat as the guests were still in full swing due to the ITV programme’s tight schedule, Davina stepped in and told the two women to “take it outside”.
After the video played to the studio and viewers alike, Luisa began by explaining: “It’s hard to put into context from a 20-second clip.
“But she’d been overly aggressive, she’d already been aggressive to a single mother I was trying to help [getting on the plane].
“I saw her march over to this family, and I noticed this little boy had no shoes on – I’d been to the toilet so I saw him – and she said ‘If you can’t control your child I will fine you £100 for cleaning.’
“I just thought, ‘Oh my god thats so odd, I’m going to get my phone out and film this.’”
“If it’s a matter of safety I understand that but we were [parked] at the time,” Luisa continued.
“It’s a tricky one,” Rochelle offered. “We’ve all flown with children, but if someone had come to me I probably wouldn’t have fought it just because of safety.”
Asked why she’d chosen to post the video on her Instagram rather than send it to EasyJet, Luisa explained she’d had the clip for two weeks, and it was only after she told the story in her Podcast her co-hosts had urged her to unveil the video.
“The problem nowadays is the press will just lift things from your social media,” she complained, as Davina clarified as a public figure this is expected.
“What’s your opinion on public shaming?” Rochelle asked, and Liz countered that “when you buy a ticket for a flight you automatically buy into [the airline’s] rules” and “you’re not allowed to start filming inside a plane unless its for your private use”.
“You have absolutely no right to do that,” the debater raged, insisting it wasn’t Luisa’s choice to “online shame” the crew member.
“It’s basic customer service and basic people skills,” Luisa fired back.
“You filmed it, why did you film it? You are actually causing a huge amount of damage to EasyJet,” Liz then claimed, as Rochelle cut in with a statement from EasyJet.
The airline said: “It’s clear from the video the crew member is concerned for the safety of the child.
“We’re sorry if the manner in which she did that caused offence in any way. The safety of our passengers and crew is of our highest priority.”
Frustrated with her debater on the show, Luisa then accused Liz of having an “aggressive manner” as the guest began “pointing” emphatically.
Bringing the conversation to a halt soon after, Davina declared with a grin: “Right you ladies are gonna have to take it outside, we need to move on!”
This Morning continues weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
