I’m A Celebrity 2018: Declan Donnelly makes VERY cheeky jibe toward Theresa May

Dec hosted the ITV show live alongside Holly Willoughby today as usual.

The pair were providing a link through to footage of the latest trial, which saw I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! campmate Harry Redknapp take on “Repvile Centre”.

The football manager had to crawl through cages that were full of reptiles.

And naturally, the presenters saw the opportunity for a political joke.

Holly began: “Before the break, Harry found himself facing a cabinet full of vicious, cold-blooded creatures ready to attack at any moment.”

Dec then cheekily jumped in to say: “Evening Prime Minister.

“I won’t keep you probably wanna get back to negotiating Breakfast, ay?”

Earlier in the show after the campmates had enjoyed a hearty breakfast, Dec started referring to Brexit as “breakfast”.

Those watching at home were tickled by Dec’s cheeky jab and took to Twitter to comment.

“Love when @antanddec says ‘Evening, prime minister’ Missed that so much #ImACeleb,” one wrote.

“EVENING PRIME MINISTER #crying #ImACeleb,” a second added.

A third chimed in: “#imaceleb I may be wrong, but I think Dec’s making fun of Theresa May.”

Dec wasn’t the only one to make a Brexit reference on the show.

The five remaining stars had one of their loved ones visit for a surprise meeting.

And while it was an emotional affair for many of them, James had a pressing question for his girlfriend Kirstie.

James asked Kirstie how Brexit negotiations were going, to which she replied “no progress”, and viewers couldn’t believe it.

One shared: “Imagine not seeing your girlfriend for almost 2 weeks and asking her ‘what’s happened with brexit’ #imaceleb.”

“‘What’s happening with brexit?’ james omg #ImACeleb,” another wrote.

While a third observed: “Only James would see his girlfriend for the first time in a month and ask about brexit #imaceleb #teamjames.”

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV.
