Game of Thrones season 8: Final show spoiler REVEALED as fan spots HUGE flames on set

A fan of the HBO series uploaded a clip online which seems to show Winterfell being engulfed in flames.

The tantalising footage was taken near the set in Belfast, Northern Ireland and appears to show the inferno destroying the home of the House of Stark.

On social media, fans have gone wild for the video, with many left guessing whether these scenes will air in the final episode of the hit HBO series.

One person, who shared the video online, wrote: “OMG Winterfell, this is huge!”

Another added: “Game of Thrones set on fire,” while a second penned: “OMG wonder if it’s part of the plot.”

A third commented: “Oh my goodness. this must be for season eight,” while another asked: “OMG! What does this mean?”

Meanwhile, Game of Thrones star Pete Dinklage recently teased the final episodes of the hugely popular fantasy series.

Peter, who plays Tyrio Lannister, admitted that he is not hugely disappointed about the show coming to an end, despite playing one of the main characters.

He told Mashable: “Yeah, I’m looking forward to the future. You gotta move on.”

Before confessing: “It’s gonna be sad when [Game of Thrones] is over. I really do love everyone I work with on that show.

Peter went on to explain how emotional it was for him to read the final scripts, saying: “It was heartbreaking. The end of an era.”

Speaking about spoilers for season eight, Peter revealed that the cast is tight-lipped and do not even tell their family members about the major upcoming storylines.

“We live in a world of spoilers and we keep it quiet,” he explained. “We’re really good at this point.”

Filming is currently underway for season eight of Game of Thrones, which will be the last series of the show.

The finale will be televised in 2019, however, an official air date has not been announced as of yet.

Show runners David Danioff and Dan Weiss confirmed that the Game of Thrones season eight will be shorter than previous ones.

Benioff said: “It’s only going to be six episodes. From the beginning, we’ve wanted to tell a 70-hour movie. It will turn out to be a 73-hour movie, but it’s stayed relatively the same of having the beginning, middle and now we’re coming to the end.

“It would have been really tough if we lost any core cast members along the way, I’m very happy we’ve kept everyone and we get to finish it the way we want to.”

Express.co.uk has contacted HBO for comment.

Game of Thrones will return to HBO and Sky Atlantic in 2019.
