Three years ago, developer Rodeo Games translated classic board game Warhammer Quest to a challenging turn-based RPG, a party-based adventure through dungeons and ruins with a varied collection of heroes. Since then, founding members of Rodeo formed a new team, Perchang, making one wonder if that was the last we’d see of digital Quest.
But now that question has been answered. Warhammer Quest 2: The End Times is coming, and as the title implies, it’ll be an even grander adventure.
Warhammer Quest 2 is set in a time of chaos, quite literally. The forces of Chaos are ravaging the land, forcing heroes and their dark adversaries to unite against an ever greater threat. Sorcerers, White Hunters, Elf Assassins, Dwarf Slayers, and more are the skillful warriors seeking action and adventure during this war, offering you a new roster of characters to select to brave End Times‘ dungeons.
The first Warhammer Quest combined party management in towns with turn-based battles and encounters during missions, Details on the sequel are sparse at the moment, but the recently released screenshots indicate that the original’s grim fantasy aesthetic, tense claustrophobic dungeons, and overwhelming odds remain intact.
Warhammer Quest 2: The End Times is still deep in development, and is expected to released on iOS and Android devices in late 2017. You can learn more about the game and developer Perchang by visiting their Twitter page.
