Fortnite season 5 week 10 LEAK: New search to replace Stone Heads challenge

Epic Games will be announcing the week 10 challenges for Fortnite on Thursday, September 13.

The latest battle star tasks will bring players closer to completing their passes, and unlocking the best cosmetics.

Fortnite players already know what they can unlock during season 5, with time running out before the launch of season 6.

The current season isn’t expected to end until near the end of September, so there’s still plenty of time to earn all that XP.

And it looks like we know what will be replacing the Stone Heads and Shifty Shafts Treasure Map from week 9.

Diving into the game’s latest build means that news on the week 10 challenges can be shared early by leakers.

This isn’t a particularly popular thing with Epic Games, who have tried a number of things to try and make it harder to find out what’s coming next.

Several different techniques have been used to try and stem the flow of leaks, although most of them haven’t proved very useful.

During season 4, Epic Games would put in very vague titles for the new challenges, which would then change hours before they were officially released.

However, season 5 is still seeing a lot of leaked information surface when it comes to weekly challenges.

And from the looks of it players will be searching between a covered bridge, waterfall, and the 9th green for a battle star.

It also looks like players will need to find seven ‘Jigsaw Pizzle Pieces’ in basements, as well as eliminate over three different locations.

Here’s the leaked week 10 challenges posted online:

Free Challenges:

  • Search Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces in Basements (7)
  • Consume Apples or Mushrooms (20)
  • Eliminate Opponents (HARD) (10)

Battle Pass Challenges

  • Search Chests in Salty Springs (7)
  • Deal damage to opponents (5,000)
  • Search between a covered bridge, waterfall, and the 9th green (HARD) (1)
  • Stage 1: Eliminate an opponent in Pleasant Park (HARD) (1)

It should be noted that these new challenges have not been confirmed by Epic Games and could, therefore, be subject to change.

Last minute switches have been made by the development team before, so it will be worth checking social media for the latest information.

What we do know for sure is that new battle stars will be available to collect next week.

For those that don’t know, each week Epic Games releases three challenges for free and four challenges for Battle Pass owners.

The challenges are separated into hard and regular tiers of difficulty.

The hard difficulty Fortnite challenges net players ten Battle Stars, while the regular tasks reward fans with five Battle Stars.
