The high-speed train has introduced a new ticket price for passengers travelling to France or Belgium, with one-way tickets starting from just £25.

For people to take advantage of this new offer, they will have to be travelling as a group.

The standard price remains at one-way tickets from £29 if travelling solo.

For the £25 ticket price, the booking would have to be made with a party of four to nine people.

The price then goes up to £27 each if three people are booking it, or £28 each for two people booking it.

The offer is valid from November 29 to March 28 next year, meaning a romantic break or a holiday with the family can be much cheaper.

People who book with Eurostar also get 2 for 1 entry to many museums and galleries in Europe.

Mary Walsh, Director of Communications for Eurostar commented: “Our new offer provides a great excuse to bring family or friends together for a trip to Europe.

“Whether it’s getting into the festive spirit at Christmas markets, or beating the January blues, great savings are available with lower fares for larger groups.”

Eurostar is also to add Amsterdam to their destination list by the end of the year.

This would then mean two daily trains would run from London St Pancras to Amsterdam’s city centre, taking just four hours.

With Christmas just around the corner, many of the best Christmas markets in Europe can be easily visited by train.

Belgium has many to offer with the train taking less than four hours.

Whilst Brussels is famous for its market, Antwerp and Ghent are also great additions to try in the country.

Otherwise Paris, Lille and Strasbourg in France make a great choice for the holiday season.
