NRL Footy Show presenter Erin Molan has confirmed she is engaged, joking the upcoming wedding is the ultimate excuse to “let herself go”.

The star presenter, 33, broke the news she would marry partner Sean Ogilvy, 41, on Thursday night when her colleagues flashed her name and delivered her a bunch of flowers on air.

“It was really, really lovely, I’m the luckiest girl on the world,” she said.

“It happened last Sunday morning and it was really special and I’m just so excited that I can now just let myself go … I don’t have to try anymore. I’m not shaving my legs, nothing,” she joked.

Molan has been in a relationship with policeman Sean for more than a year and previously said she is “clucky” and “can’t wait to be a mum”.

“I’ve always been so career-focused. Now, I think what life is all about for me is having little babies and family and love and happiness,’ she told TV Week.

The engagement comes a month after Molan sparked similar rumours by wearing a pearl ring on her finger last month.

She said the couple had not yet set a date but had already checked out some venues.

“We’ll take a few weeks to celebrate this” she said.

It comes after fellow Channel 9 stars Sylvia Jeffreys and Peter Stefanovic celebrated their wedding at Kangaroo Valley last weekend.
