Emmerdale viewers in hysterics over Rhona Goskirk’s awkward blunder ‘Dodgy as f**k’

Rhona (played by Zoe Henry) started off anxious for her son Leo’s future in the latest instalment of the ITV soap, after school issues meant that the child might be forced to enrol in a special needs programme.

Enlisting her close friend and ex-husband Paddy (Dominic Brunt) to help her bake a selection of cakes to impress the Parent Teacher Association, fans clocked on before the characters did that Rhona had accidentally made some cheeky-looking sweet goods.

Designed to be snakes, Rhona was blissfully unaware that the green and yellow oblongs had any resemblance to a human penis, which sent the pair into fits of giggles when Paddy pointed out the obvious.

In hysterics, fans took to Twitter to comment on the hilarious scene, as one person wrote: “Love the ‘shop bought’ snake cakes in the shape of a penis by the way. #Emmerdale.”

“Those snake cakes look dodgy as f**k #Emmerdale,” another joked, followed by: “Haahaaa those snake cakes look like a penis #emmerdale.”

“When I first saw them ‘Cakes’ I didn’t think Snakes #Emmerdale @emmerdale,” one viewer commented.

Meanwhile, some viewers continued to enjoy the comedic notes when the soap dropped another cheeky innuendo.

“#emmerdale ‘he’d be more than happy to ice your buns’ has this show turned into babestation?” one wrote, as another said: “All the innuendos tonight, f***ing laughing my head off”

Despite the characters’ seeming enjoyment of the task at hand, it later became clear that Rhona was suffering from unrequited feelings underneath the surface.

Confiding in her friend Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick), Rhona decided to reveal the truth of her secret by icing “I love Paddy” on the top of one of her cakes.

Unfortunately, given Paddy and Chas’s (Lucy Pargeter) relationship is still being kept under wraps, will Rhona be in for a devastating rebuff?

Emmerdale continues tomorrow at 7pm on ITV.
