Emmerdale spoilers: Emily Head hints Rebecca White may NEVER wake up from coma

The actress, who plays Rebecca in the hit ITV soap, let slip that her character may succumb to her injuries after falling into a coma.

In the latest episode, Lachlan, who has a punctured lung, was allowed to leave the hospital, while Rebecca’s fate still hangs in the balance.

Rebecca was put on life support after the White family’s vehicle smashed into oncoming traffic as they pursued Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley).

Robert had snatched baby Seb after discovering that Rebecca planned to take him to Australia.

Chrissie (Louise Marwood) and her adopted father Lawrence (John Bowe) were both killed in the devastating road accident.

Speaking to Daily Star Online about whether Rebecca could forgive Robert, Emily said: “I honestly couldn’t say. We haven’t shot anything that would suggest that because I’ve been in a coma. I don’t know how she’d feel if she ever did wake up.”

“But I do think that she hasn’t seen this side of Robert, the caring side of him, in a very long time.

“So I think she’d probably be more concerned than anything else, about the fact that Seb is now with the one person that she wanted to get him away from.”

On Monday’s show, Robert found it difficult to look after the newborn while Rebecca was still in the hospital.

Meanwhile, Lachlan was left homeless when the new owner of Home Farm Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) kicked him out.

Luckily, on-off girlfriend Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) offered to let him stay at the Wishing Well Cottage.

Elsewhere, Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) is set on destroying Joe after she discovered he is plotting to ruin her mum Charity (Emma Atkins) as he believes she killed his father.

Debbie has her eye on revenge and will head to Home Farm with petrol canisters intent on burning down Joe’s new home as she douses the property with fuel before revealing she has rigged it to blow up.

However, Joe may make a lucky escape as her father Cain (Jeff Hordley) rushes to the property with Ross Barton (Mike Parr) to stop her.

Although, he may avoid being burned alive he could find himself facing death again when he comes face-to-face with a masked gunman.

Will Joe die or can he escape yet another life-threatening situation?

Emmerdale continues tonight on ITV  at 7pm.
