Those watching the ITV soap saw the police deliver late Finn Barton’s (played by Joe Gill) belongings to his brothers Pete (Anthony Quinlan) and Ross (Michael Parr).
As they went through the package, they came across their sibling’s mobile phone.
In an emotional scene, Ross said: “I suppose one of us should go through his contacts and tell anyone we haven’t spoken to about the funeral”.
But grief-stricken Pete admitted he “couldn’t face” going through it which left Ross to scroll through the device.
However, many viewers noticed the Barton brothers shouldn’t have been able to go on his phone as it had died when Finn got shot by his murdering mother Emma (Gillian Kearney).
Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: “How has Finns phone battery got life on it for Ross to look thru contacts? It was dying when he got shot? #emmerdale
“You’re going to have to charge the phone first Ross #Emmerdale,” noted another.
A third added: “#emmerdale when Finn was shop [shot] his phone was dead. But Ross has just received it back & able to go through his contacts without charging it.”
