EastEnders spoilers: Stacey Fowler and Martin reunite after Kat Slater death bombshell

Kat (played by Jessie Wallace) will be returning to EastEnders soon, but the Albert Square residents believe she has died.

As the family come to terms with the loss of the boisterous character, new spoiler pictures suggest there is light at the end of the tunnel for one couple on the BBC soap.

Stacey (Lacey Turner) split up from Martin (James Bye) following her sordid affair with Max Branning (Jake Wood).

The pair have been at loggerheads for months and have been fighting for custody of their children.

There’s light at the end of the tunnel, however, as an upset Stacey finds comfort in Martin.

As they talk through the tragic loss of her cousin, they find themselves growing closer together.

Martin is keen to offer his support but one thing leads to another and they end up sharing a tender kiss.

Will this be the beginning of a reconciliation for the couple?

The smooch is sure to put the cat among the pigeons as Hayley Slater (Katie Jarvis) has been trying to split the pair up for weeks.

Stacey recently had to phone the police after Martin and scheming Hayley kept the children out too long – but it was Hayley who set up the whole situation.

However, the concerned mother didn’t want to play those games any more and seemed happy when her ex told her he hadn’t seen her cousin since.

And just last night, Big Mo Slater (Laila Morse) returned to Albert Square.

She was the one who delivered the news of Kat’s demise to a horrified Stacey.

But viewers were far too overjoyed about Laila’s return and flocked to Twitter to discuss the big “duff duff” scene.

One gushed that it was just “like old times” while a second screamed: “Welcome back BIG MO!”

EastEnders continues tomorrow on BBC One at 8pm.
