Mel (played by Tamzin Outhwaite) is set to wreak her revenge on New Year’s Day on her and Ray’s (Sean Mahon) wedding day in EastEnders.
However, the actress behind the role on the BBC soap has now teased that filming the scenes left her feeling “scared”.
The action ends up in a woods in the dead of night as the revenge reaches its climax.
Mel actress Tamzin spilled to press including Express.co.uk: “It reminds me of a…I mean I’m not sure I would want my children to watch it if you know what I mean.
“It’s like a horror or the darker side of EastEnders.
“It can be scary. I mean I haven’t seen it but I know when we were doing it I was scared.”
However, Tamzin remained coy on what viewers can expect to see from the action in the woods.
She explained: “I can’t go into detail on the woods, apart from the fact that we were in them until four in the morning for quite a few nights.”
Fans will just have to tune in to see what happens in the spooky setting.
But she did confirm that Mel’s son Hunter Owen (Charlie Winter) will be a part of the drama.
The actress said: “He’s very involved in the storyline. It’s been lovely having him there because I haven’t had any family members at all, you know I’m quite a loner.
“Mel’s quite a loner. So it’s been lovely having a child back.”
While Ray star Sean added: “That dynamic happened very fluently, that the three of us have. And it certainly plays into everything.
“There’s a lot that impacts the family over New Years.”
Could there be a death on the cards for the family?
Tamzin has previously spoken about the upcoming dark scenes.
Earlier this week she spoke to Good Morning Britain’s Richard Arnold.
She said: ”It’s like a horror.
“There’s a lot of foreboding, a lot of action, a lot of stunts, a lot of outdoor running around.”
EastEnders continues tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
