EastEnders spoilers: Kat Slater set for HUGE rivalry with Karen Taylor – FIRST LOOK

Last night’s instalment of EastEnders saw the pair reconcile following the events of recent weeks, but it won’t be for long.

When Kat’s (played by Jessie Wallace) neighbours thought she had died and threw a big fundraiser for her funeral, they weren’t very happy when she turned up in the flesh and a big brawl broke out in the Queen Vic after she was confronted by newcomer Karen (Lorraine Stanley).

It looked as though they had buried the hatchet when Kat turned up at the laundrette asking Karen for a favour.

They bonded as Karen expressed empathy about her situations, as she had also been shunned by the Square when she first arrived on the scene.

However, new spoiler photos released by the BBC soap shows that peace between the two won’t last.

The Slaters set up their own cleaning business and Karen isn’t best pleased.

The mother-of-six accuses Kat of poaching her customers, leading to an epic fight in the laundrette.

It doesn’t take long for the pair to start launching insults and clothes at each other, as Keegan (Zack Morris) looks on at the carnage.

Monday’s instalment saw Kat propose the new business venture as a means for her family to climb out of their debt.

Kat’s death hoax was all part of Big Mo Harris’ (Laila Morse) scheme to come up with the cash for the £5,000 debt she owed to a mysterious man in Birmingham.

Pressure mounted when his daughter, Annie Pritchard (Martha Howe-Douglas), turned up in Walford to threaten Mo.

Salvation came in a likely form as Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) coughed up the cash by donating her life savings to get Mo out of trouble.

While Mo was set on leaving the Square again, Stacey Fowler (Lacey Turner) refused to let her leave until she paid the money back.

Although, it looks as if they will hit a speed bump when Karen tries to put a stop to their plan.

It appears as though Kat and Karen aren’t the only pair with an intense rivalry, as yesterday’s episode saw Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) and Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) have an almighty fall-out.

Mel was unimpressed that her son Hunter (Charlie Winters) had been invited round for dinner and tensions rose when Sharon drunkenly started hurling insults.

The atmosphere got incredibly awkward when Sharon insisted on bringing up Mel’s failed relationships, but then things took a serious turn.

Sharon caused a huge stir by telling Hunter it was Phil (Steve McFadden) who had killed his father, Steve Owen (Martin Kemp).

However, it didn’t end well for Sharon when Mel threw a jug of cream all over her before storming out.

EastEnders continues tonight at 7.30pm on BBC One.
