Destiny 2 Iron Banner Weapons: Bungie reveal loot and rewards

The development have launched the latest Destiny 2 Iron Banner event, which includes new rewards and weapons.

The latest PvP clash will run until Tuesday, March 13, when Bungie performs their usual Weekly Reset.

The game type for this week’s event is Clash, although the development team have confirmed they have some changes planned.

Iron Banner will be reverting back to team sizes of 6v6 and, with these other Destiny 2 changes also planned:

  • Match time limit is 12 minutes
  • Score limit is 125 points
  • Respawn time is 7 seconds
  • All control zones start off neutral
  • Control zones take slightly longer to capture by default
  • Additional Guardians (max of 3) in a zone increases capture speed
  • Guardians participating in a capture get more Super energy

During that time, Guardians will have the chance of grabbing three featured weapons, which are now live in-game.

And if you weren’t able to finish off the challenges required to unlock all of your ornaments during the last event, your progress will carry over to this week’s Iron Banner.

For those that don’t know, Iron Banner is a week-long Crucible event in Destiny 2 that offers its participants unique rewards.

While active, the Iron Banner activity can be found in the Crucible node of the Director.

Iron Banner in Destiny 2 rotates between Quickplay Crucible Game Modes, however only one Game Mode will be featured per Iron Banner event.

During the Iron Banner, players will report to Lord Saladin in the Tower to receive the Iron Banner Milestone.

This Milestone grants entry to the Iron Banner playlist activity and allows players to participate for rewards.

Lord Saladin will offer rewards to players who rank up their reputation with him by turning in Iron Banner Tokens.

Tokens can be earned by completing an Iron Banner Crucible match, with wins awarding more tokens than losses.

Players can also earn additional Iron Banner Tokens by completing Daily Iron Banner Challenges and the Daily Iron Banner Milestone. These can be completed on each character, each day.
