Death In Paradise: Fans sent into a frenzy as HUGE star makes cameo – did you notice?

The finale of Death In Paradise aired on BBC One this evening, as it took Detective Jack Mooney (played by Ardal O’Hanlan) through two murders spanning 30 years.

After seeing a reggae band play at a festival, Jack was called to a death by Commissioner Patterson (Don Warrington).

The deceased member of the reggae band was found behind a locked door, with a gun in his hand, which made the incident look like a suicide.

But on closer inspection, Jack realised that the door was forcibly closed from the outside, leading to the revelation that the guitar player was murdered.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to point out who this guitar player was.

Billy Springer was played by none other than Levi Roots, the entrepreneur best known for his appearance on Dragons’ Den.

His time on the pitching programme saw him walk away with £50,000 of investment for his Reggae Reggae Sauce business.

Levi’s appearance in Death In Paradise showed him not only being murdered, but restringing a guitar, making a phone call, and interacting with his band mates.

Fans were shocked when they first saw him and flocked to Twitter to comment.

One fan exclaimed: “OH S**T they killed Levi Roots #DeathInParadise.”

Another added: “You killed Levi Roots… you b******s! #reggaereggaesauce #DeathInParadise.”

Whilst another chimed in: “#DeathInParadise nice cameo from Levi Roots tonight…”

The end of the episode revealed that Billy’s singer had murdered him, as well as his wife 30 years prior.

It was also revealed that Billy’s son was not his due to a secret affair.

Death In Paradise Season 8 will air in January 2019 on BBC One.
