Fans who have seen Deadpool 2 will know that he manages a sneaky cameo in a cheeky end credit scene.

Born James Howlett, he loses his healing ability and relies on military implants and cybernetics. He also has Cable’s handy time travel device. This Cable/Wolverine fades from existence when his battle is done.
This version’s human height and rather more ‘regular’ mutant strength, plus the lack of regenerative powers correspond’s tantalisingly closely to the Cable seen in Deadpool 2.
The gruff and grumpy grouching suddenly seems rather familiar, too…
The movie has also shown its willingness to delve into time travel.
Fans have also spotted clues to Mister Sinister, who engineered the birth of Cable in some Marvel variations.
