Pat Phelan’s (played by Connor McIntyre) killing spree is yet to end, despite the murderous construction worker being six feet under.
The Coronation Street serial killer got his comeuppance in June last year when Anna Windass (Debbie Rush) stabbed him during a police stand-off.
However, he is still causing mayhem from beyond the grave and will soon add another victim to his lengthy list.
Fans of the hit ITV soap are aware he killed Michael Rodwell, Vinny Ashford, Andy Carver and Luke Britton in cold blood.
But while he was concerning himself with covering his tracks and hiding the many dead bodies, he failed to properly fulfil his obligation as a builder.
With a number of victims on his roster it is unsurprising Eileen Grimshaw’s (Sue Cleaver) spouse did not do a good job of preparing the roof of the Underworld factory.
On Monday night’s instalment of Coronation Street, Gary Windass (Mickey North), who worked with the deceased handyman, told factory owner Carla Connor (Alison King) there was a huge problem with the roof.
He explained how the boat fire had caused some minor cosmetic damage, before revealing his former boss had done a terrible job at repairing the roof.
During their conversation, the father-of-two said: “Phelan did a bodge job. The joists are too short.
“They’ve been calculated wrong so they’re sitting on makeshift supports.”
He then went on to reveal she needed a completely new roof, which would cost her tens of thousands.
The businesswoman did all she could to pull together the money, but was dealt another shock blow when she returned to Gary.
Gary told her she and her staff would need to vacate the building for six to seven weeks to allow his team to do their repairs.
“Look, the roof’s dangerous and it needs doing. End of,” a stern Gary warned.
Coronation Street producers previously released spoiler images teasing the collapse of the factory, which is expected to claim at least one life.
Scenes for the roof of Underworld collapsing are said to air in March, and the cast and crew have been busy filming the devastating episodes.
Behind-the-scenes pictures recently shared on Coronation Street’s official Twitter account suggest Patti Clare’s character Mary Taylor could be the victim of the accident.
In one shot Patti is being touched up with some make-up, which suggest she is involved in the collapse somehow, even if not one of the victims of it.
However, most fans believe Rana Habeeb is the likely victim of the horrific incident as actress Bhavan Limbachia recently announced she is leaving the show.
Coronation Street continues Wednesday on ITV at 7.30pm and 8.30pm.
