Coronation Street fans have already learned that Gemma Winter (played by Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) are expecting quadruplets.
The pair were also recently told there is a high chance they could lose one of the babies and were advised to terminate one of them.
But the couple decided they wanted all four babies to have an equal chance at survival.
Now, it has been reported Gemma will go into labour while on a cable car 80ft in the air.
Their relationship has never been smooth-sailing so it comes as no surprise that Chesney may have to rescue Gemma when she goes into labour.
She will be on the ride in Llandudno, North Wales when her waters break and the clock is on to get her safely to hospital.
Fans will be happy to hear that while Gemma gives birth to one baby in an ambulance, the other three will arrive when she’s in hospital.
A TV source teased: “It’s been a storyline full of ups ad downs.
“For Gemma to go into labour while riding a cable sums up that they haven’t had things easy.”
They continued to The Sun: “Fans will be delighted that it will be a happy ending.”
The couple will no doubt have their hands full when they return to Weatherfield to look after the tots.
But they will have extra help in the form of Gemma’s mum Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove).
However, it seems Bernie will cause a stir when Gemma believes she fancies the father of her babies, Chesney.
Bernie is said to be very tactile with Chesney which will raise eyebrows as the young couple deem her behaviour as strange.
Speaking about joining the cast, actress Jane said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Coronation Street.
“It’s where I started by apprenticeship as a very young actor. I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
Meanwhile, it looks as though fan-favourite Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) could be killed by Rick Neelan.
As Gary Windass (Mikey North) goes head-to-head with Rick Neelan (Greg Wood), it seems Sarah could be in danger.
Rick will dig a grave and actor Mikey has hinted it could be for his ex-girlfriend.
Coronation Street continues Monday on ITV at 7.30pm.
