The character’s health has taken a huge knock following the revelation that she is suffering from kidney failure, and as things stand only Roy Cropper (David Neilson) knows the truth.
This week the character will be rushed to hospital after a dramatic collapse in the middle of the Weatherfield street, so her secret can’t be hidden any longer.

Aidan (Shayne Ward) and Kate Connor (Faye Brookes) go and get tested at the hospital, but in a surprising move Carla decides to go and visit Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) at home in the meantime.
The decision comes after hearing how heartbroken he is after being rejected by ex-girlfriend Sinead, but Carla ends up giving him more than he bargained for.
Having arrived at the journalist’s flat, Carla seems to be trying anything to take her mind off her tough situation, and starts heavily flirting with the younger man.
As the pair get closer, Carla suddenly ends up in a lingering smooch with the restaurant-worker – but one person won’t be happy.
Making the rash decision to kiss in broad daylight on Daniel’s doorstep, he and Carla are suddenly seen by a furious Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn).
After suffering from trouble in paradise with her fiancé Chesney Brown (Sam Aston), Sinead had decided to head to Daniel’s with the intention of giving their relationship another go.
To make matters worse, Peter Barlow (Chris Gascoyne) also hears about his ex-wife’s dalliance later on at the Rovers Return.
