Although Spurs have been without star forward Kawhi Leonard, they have hit form at the right time.

Leonard is earmarking a return to the side on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Celtics, have been almost unstoppable and have won 22 of their past 24 games.

They picked up their fourth victory in a row when they beat Dallas Mavericks 97-90.

Kyrie Irving has been Celtics’ standout player this season and he scored 17 points, eight rebounds, eight assists and three blocks in the victory.

Speaking about the season so far, Irving said: “I’m very happy.

“Going into the season you never have any expectations. This is good. We want to keep building on it.”

Celtics team-mate Terry Rozier also thinks his side are heading in the right direction, as he said: “We mentioned that at shootaround that everybody has to be ready, especially when we call to the bench.

“You’ve got to have that ‘next man up (mentality)’. Just covering for one another. We’re a team. We’re pros for a reason. You put all that hard work in and you have to be ready.”
