Captain Marvel: Avengers Infinity War reveals HUGE teaser on Avengers 4 movie

Avengers Infinity War is now officially the highest grossing film of all time after raking in more than $ 1.6 billion worldwide.

The Disney-Marvel has gone down a storm with fans and critics who have lavished praised on the plot, casting and action scenes.

The summer blockbuster took an astronomical £200 million in China over the weekend and remains number one at the box office a full three weeks after opening.

Avengers’ epic storyline saw the biggest ever cast of Marvel superheroes assembled in attempt to destroy intergalactic baddy Thanos.

The purple hitman was last seen at the movie’s end bringing the six infinity stones together, wiping half the universe from existence with a click of his fingers.

But a Captain Marvel teaser, which popped up after the end credits rolled, got fans excited after it suggested not all was lost.

What was the Captain Marvel teaser in the Avengers Infinity War movie?

Despite the universe appearing to be wiped out – taking Spiderman, Barnes, Groot and a number of others with it – a post-credits scene hinted that Captain Marvel could be the universe’s saviour.

A post-car crash Nick Fury is seen grabbing a retro-looking technological device and and activating it just before he disintegrates.

The pager then starts to beep before a flash of blue, red and gold with a white insignia on the front takes over the screen.

The insignia is the emblem of Captain Marvel aka Carol Danvers, who will be appearing in a prequel in March 2018 around two months before Avengers 4 comes out.

The prequel should explain how Carol came by her powers, what she has been up to since and where she was while the rest of the gang were defending the universe.

What we do know is that Captain Marvel has exceptional powers, and can fly and smash her way through most things.

Marvel producer Kevin Feige has already said she is the powerful Marvel character yet.

He told Vulture in 2016: “With Captain Marvel, she is as powerful a character as we’ve ever put in a movie.

“Her powers are off the charts, and when she’s introduced, she will be by far the strongest character we’ve ever had.”

As Nick Fury has called on Captain Marvel in the final scene of the Avengers Infinity War film definitely gives credence to the idea that the character will lead the fight back in Avengers 4.

The sequel is scheduled to be released on May 3, 2019 in the US, while Captain Marvel is out on March 6, 2019.
