BBC weather: Carol Kirkwood and Louise Minchin wear identical dress: 'I've got to change!'

The presenter seemed uncomfortable being caught in an identical outfit to her co-star and even suggested she change to spare herself any further embarrassment.

The 49-year-old, who was discussing the latest in sports with fellow presenters Dan Walker and Katherine Downes, appeared eager to change topics once she noticed the humiliating fashion faux pas.

Turning to Carol, 55, she said: “I might have to go and change my dress because Carol and I we’re not wearing the exact same dress but it sort of looks like it.”

“It does! I had the same crisis Lou, thinking ‘have I got another dress?’”

However, the women seemed to see the funny side to it all and burst out laughing after their conversation.

Later, Carol predicted a cold and frosty day for most with some sunshine.

In southern England, it will be particularly cloudy and the area will likely experience rain as the clouds move northwards.

For Scotland, Northern Ireland and northern England the day will be cold, especially in rural areas.

There will be a bit of “light drizzle” in the south as the clouds produce rain.

By Wednesday it will be drier as the rain moves in from the west to the east and the temperatures gradually increase.

BBC Breakfast continues tomorrow on BBC One at 6am.
