His remark came after fellow presenter Steph McGovern had spoken to easyJet’s outgoing chief executive Carolyn McCall, who is moving to , about the company’s profits.

The host revealed that their figures had been “quite robust” and there was no doubt she would be missed from the company.

She told Dan and Louise Minchin: “Interestingly, she has been seven years the boss of easyJet and she is now going to be the head at ITV.

“It’s an interesting move for her and she’s one of those bosses as well that everyone seems to love and wants them to be their boss.”

“So, it will be interesting to see what she does at ITV next… hopefully not increase their figures from us,” Steph continued.

But Dan assured her not to worry as he took a swipe at the rival broadcaster, remarking: “No chance… she might be a fan of I’m A Celebrity.”

Louise and Steph could be seen chuckling at his comment before awkwardly moving onto the next segment.

The moment came not long at the hosts appeared to be having some technical difficulties as they tried to show viewers what they could expect from their interview with the Harlem Globetrotters.

As they cut to the green room where the basketball players were waiting, the pair could be seen pacing around rather than showcasing their skills.

Louise nervously told viewers: “Just a moment ago they were doing brilliant tricks,” before calling to the Harlem Globetrotters: “We’re on you now.”

Dan could also be heard trying to get their attention as he shouted: “You’re live on the telly boys! That’s it. Start dancing.”
