The Atletico Madrid star has been linked with a move to Barcelona in January or the summer.
Rumours in Spain this weekend suggested talks had already taken place with the player and the sporting relations director has fuelled more suggestions claiming ‘something may be advanced’.
And Alba insists it would be a good deal for Barca.
“We are talking about a top player that has been doing really very at Atletico in recent years, any reinforcement would be welcome,” he told Onda Cero.
“But I already said that the squad is very good and we are doing very well and we’ll see what happens in the winter transfer market.”
Griezmann has struggled this season after deciding to stay in Madrid despite it looking like he’d join Manchester United in the summer.
But United and Barcelona remain keen on him and could offer him a way out of Madrid next month.
The France star has scored three in his last three to help his La Liga tally to five for the season.
And Barca are looking at additions in January as they hope to clinch the La Liga title.
They already lead by eight points – with Atletico now in second after a slip up from Valencia and with Real Madrid in action at the Club World Cup.
Manager Ernesto Valverde was asked if he would make a move for Griezmann and refused to rule it out.
“Griezmann is a great player who is on another team, he is not in ours,” Valverde said.
“I like our team very much.”
