Alan Carr Specstacular viewers ‘SWITCH OFF’ as Theresa May branded ‘Blunder Woman’

This evening saw him turn into “Blunder Woman” in a sketch based on the recent Gal Gadot Wonder Woman adaptation.

As the character rolled around on the floor, coughed and spluttered through speeches, it was fairly obvious that the 41-year-old was pulling no punches at the Prime Minister’s expense.

Alan joked about the recent failure to secure a strong enough Brexit deal, suggesting that May will “settle for anything”.

What’s more, the joke segment ended with: “Blunder Woman… Out in 2018, 2019 or by 2020.”

Some viewers didn’t seem to find the funny side of the gag and posted their anger on Twitter, with a few noticing the similarities to a Russ Abbott jokes from years previous.

One wrote: “Normally like Alan Carr but only lasted watching for 25 mins of this tosh.”(sic)

Another added: “Blunder Woman gag, originally Bella Emberg on the Russ Abbott Show.”

A third raged: “Sorry but surely this has got to be the last year of this tripe? #Embarassing #Unfunny.”

However, others seemed to enjoy the sketch as one laughed: “I would personally love to see this film about Theresa May! I’m sniggering away. Please – someone make a full feature of it!”

A second joked with an abundance of laughing emojis: “Strong and stable. Sums up her shambolic election manifesto.”
